Rub-A-Dub-Dub

Allie is so funny....she is our full time entertainment! Today when we were getting ready to go out and about, she wanted to take a bath right before we were leaving. She usually only takes baths at night, but for some reason she wanted to get in. Since we didn't have time to take a bath, I suggested she get in with her clothes and pretend she was taking a bath. She thought this was a great plan! Geoff was sitting on the tub next to her laughing so I grabbed the video camera. This is what we captured on tape today! Enjoy :o)

A girl with an Imagination

Right now, I am sitting outside listening to Allie play in her sandbox. At the moment, she is catching a big fish and the big waves are splashing....I swear I don't know where she comes up with this stuff. She loves to play (and I love to listen to her). Yesterday she was playing with her babies and critters, in her critter house and had a great conversation with them. She was singing to them, told them all goodnight and "tucked them nice and cozy" (tucked them into bed) for nap time. She is too funny. She has really been into wearing Geoff's safety glasses for some reason. Geoff and I were doing something and she wanted them, so she climbed up on the chair and got them off the table herself! She also likes to pretend she is a teacher in them. I guess teachers wear glasses....she says "Mine teacher Allison and I will show you the rules". Oh Allie and her imagination! Last night she found her little backpack with a sun hat in it. She put it on and said "in case you don't know I am going on vacation". She had her "rain" hat (really a sun hat) and her backpack and was ready to roll. She didn't know where she was going just on vacation! That's my girl!! I love this stage she is in right now. Too fun!

Summer Fun in Portland

The last two weeks we were up in Portland/Scappoose for weddings and to see our family. It was a lot of fun to spend time with family and friends. Allie loved seeing all of her cousins and loved playing with Pa. I have not met a kid who does not like my dad (Pa) and Allie absolutely loves him!! There was a heat wave when we were there so it was great because we got to swim everyday in my parents pool. By the end of our stay Allie was even sliding down the slide (only half way but she had fun). I think she also ate a pint of blueberries everyday...they have a ton of blueberry bushes and she loved picking and eating them. We had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Happy 8th Anniversary

About this time eight years ago, Geoff and I were getting ready to walk down the aisle on our wedding day. We had a great wedding and have had a lot of wonderful times the past 8 years...and look forward to many more. Allie and I are two very lucky girls...I have the best husband and she has the best daddy. Today when we got off the plane Allie was so excited to see Geoff (he flew home on Sunday). She gave him a big kiss and said that was his anniversary kiss. She is too cute. Many more fun years ahead.

We have been up in Oregon for the last 10 days. It has been a lot of fun to spend time with family and friends. Allie experienced her first weddings and loved them. My cousin James got married the first weekend and my good friend Anna got married last weekend! Allie danced her little legs off and had a great time. We had a blast celebrating both of the happy couples! We got to catch up with some old friends at Anna's wedding and they got to finally meet Allison. Summer is a best time of year!
