Thanksgiving Chapel

On Thursday, all of the Kinder classes at Woodland Christian put on a Thanksgiving performance. It was super cute and very impressive. It is amazing how much these little ones have memorized in such a short amount of time. We are truly blessed and lucky to be able to send Allison to WC. She is surrounded by a great group of students, teachers and families. We were very proud of Allison on stage. Mrs. Crouch is in charge of the performance, and in true Mrs. Crouch fashion, it went off without a hitch! It was one performance we won't forget! Allison was lucky to have such a great group of support at the performance.  Geoff, Paige, Grandma Rhonda, Grandma Ganne, Paka, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Fay, Uncle Timi, Aunt Jennifer, cousin Kainoa and I, were all there to cheer her on! We appreciate all of the love and support, we are truly thankful.

Visit with Grandma Rhonda

This week my mom was in town for Allie's Thanksgiving Chapel program at school. It was a treat to have Grandma Rhonda here during the week. She got to pick Allison up from school and watch the girls while I worked on Thursday so that was fun for them. They had fun jumping on the trampoline, having tea parties, Paige doctored Gram and gave her an actual "diagnosis"....it is so funny to hear Paige say "your diagnosis is a case of the prickle thorns" or whatever else she comes up with that day. We had a nice visit and will visit Grandma and Pa and the family after Christmas in Oregon!

Happy Birthday Daddy-O

On the 8th, we celebrated Geoff's 36th Birthday....wow that sounds old :o) We are young at heart so that is all that matters :o) The girls had dance class, so we went to dance class, had a little birthday dinner at Panera and then had cake at home. The girls made a cake with Grandma Ganne for Geoff the day before and it was covered on our counter with a note (from Allie), not to open until his actual birthday!  Happy Birthday to the best dad and husband...we are lucky girls!! Cheers to many more!! We love you Daddy-O!!

Soccer

Allie has been off and on about playing soccer. Some days she wants to sign up, and other days, not so much. So through our local parks and rec department they have Just For Kicks soccer camps, so we thought we would start with this. Tuesday was her first session and it was lots of fun. When she was getting ready to go, she was a little grumpy because she did not have anything that was "sporty enough". Usually when we want her to wear "sporty" stuff she says she "looks like a boy". Once we got on our "sporty clothes" we were ready to rock and roll.

Allison wanted to be early (as always) so Geoff, Allison and Paige practiced before the real deal. It was fun to watch them! It was cool to see both girls run and kick the ball. I wish I would have had my zoom lens..some are pretty far away.

The group is 4-5 year olds, and most have never played before. The coach is a senior at UC Davis and she is awesome. There was a big boy who was 7 and he was a little intimidating when they scrimmaged  so Allie had a few tears, but all and all had a good time.  She even scored a goal at the end!! Grandma and Paka were there to cheer her on too. We look forward to next weeks session.
