Easter Eggs

Allie and Geoff went on a little shopping spree the other day and came home with all kinds of treasures! One of the big purchases was a Easter Egg dying kit. We didn't dye eggs last year but thought we would try it this year. Allie has been asking to do it since she bought the kit. She was not sure what it was all about but wanted to dye the eggs just like the ones on the box. On Sunday morning we decided to set up for the mess and it was lots of fun. Allison was unsure at first but once the boring white eggs turned colors she was all in. She especially liked making "Pinkalicious" eggs. Later that day, we had an egg hunt out back. Murphy (our rabbit) was in the yard with Allie and she said he was helping her hunt for eggs. It was lots of fun! I guess we are practicing early for the big day. I am sure we will dye more eggs and have lots of egg hunts from now until Easter.

Sleep Over

The other night cousin Ryan came to our house to stay all night. Allie has never had a "sleep over" but she has seen it on Little Bear and always wants to have a sleep over. When we told her Ryan was going to stay she was very excited. She loved having him over and so did Geoff. With two boys in the house and one crazy little monkey it makes the house a little crazier!! We had a great time. Ryan slept in Allie's big bed and she said she wanted to sleep with him but we gave him a kiss goodnight and she slept in her crib. In the morning, Ryan was busy shooting baskets and Allie was trying to convince him to be the fairy godmother since she was the princess. He was not biting since he is a "boy" (he was very nice but said that is for girls) so she finally gave up and said "Ok, you can be the basketball boy and I will be the princess"...it was very cute. We look forward to many more sleep overs with our cousins!

Daddy Allie

Allie loves to pretend and the other night she wanted to pretend she was the Daddy and Geoff was the baby! It was too funny. She held Geoff on her lap and read him a story. This little one is so fun to listen to and her imagination blows us away some days!

Big Girl Bed

We have been in the process of switching Allie from her nursery to her big girl room. The furniture has been in her new room and bedding in the closet for some time now, but Geoff moved the furniture around the room (a few times)...he is a good sport..and I finally made her big girl bed! We still have work to do, but Allie jumped in her big girl bed and loved it. She wanted to sleep in it the first night and I was surprised and not prepared...so she fell asleep in there and I transferred her to her crib. It is weird to see our baby girl in a big girl bed but we better get used to it 'cause a little sister is going to arrive in about 7 weeks!! I will post more pictures of both rooms once they are finished. It is fun to pull out the infant stuff...hard to believe Allie was that tiny!! We are getting excited. Allison will be a great big sister.
