Disneyland 2009

We had a wonderful time in Disneyland. It was so fun to see Allie get so excited about the It's A Small World ride. She wanted to go on it over and over, so I think we went on it 3 or 4 times. She loved seeing all of the "kids" and sang the song over and over....even when we were on different rides. She was a trooper and loved seeing all of the sights at Disneyland. Her favorite rides were Dumbo, It's A Small World, the Teacups and the Mickey Ferris Wheel at California Adventure. She really enjoyed the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live on Stage performance and the Aladdin show at California Adventure. It is an amazing one! She never really warmed up to the the characters (up close) but had fun meeting all of the Princesses at the Royal Princess Breakfast at Ariel's Grotto. She got to meet Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty. It was a lot of fun. She was a little nervous but gave Snow White a hug. This was a very memorable trip and we had a blast! Can't wait to go next year :o)

We are in Disneyland!!

Minnie greeting us at her home!

We are finally in Disneyland!! Allie has been so excited to come to "Dizy-e-wand" and see all of the things we have been talking about for the last couple of months. She is in the room napping so I thought I would give everyone a quick update. We are staying at the Grand Californian.....and it is truly grand. Great location and perfect for little cat naps when she needs one. My parents and brothers are all here and we have had a great morning. We went on Pinocchio, Dumbo, It's a Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean. Allie was a little nervous on the first ride (she plugs her ears when she gets nervous--so we knew she was not too sure about it) but loved it after it was over. She was very quiet on Pirates but said "yo-ho-yo-ho" so I guess it wasn't too bad. After Allie's nap we will go see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage and then hang out at California Adventure for a while. It is so fun to see Allie dancing down main street and looking for the characters. We saw Goofy, Pluto, Minnie and Chip this morning but Allie just wanted to look at them from her stroller. I will post pictures later tonight. We are having a blast and will keep you posted!

Happy Father's Day Dada

Yesterday I told Allie it was Father's Day and she said "Happy Father's Day Dad". Allie loves her Dada and he is the best dad ever! We had a fun day in Colusa with the fam. Geoff really wanted to go fishing for Father's Day and so did Allie. She likes the idea of it more than she acutally likes fishing but we had a great time. Geoff was very patient and did more baiting the hooks and untangling lines than actually fishing. Uncle Timi won the prize for most fish caught...it was beginners luck because this was the first time he has ever caught a fish! Kainoa and Allie both caught fish and I think Paka caught one too. It was a great day and a fun way to celebrate Dads! Happy Father's Day Geoff. We love you lots!!

Anthony is a High School Graduate!!

Last weekend we flew up to Portland to watch my little brother Anthony graduate from high school. My parents have 3 down and one more to go...Jo-Jo with start high school next Fall. Allie has been anxious to go to "Port-a-wind" to see Grandma and Pa and all of our cousins and family. Every time a plane flies over or a we see a train they are ALWAYS going to Portland (according to Allie). There are a tons of new cousins so it was fun for all of them to get together. They are all growing so fast. The last batch of babies (Bronwyn and Gracie) are going to be one in July and August. I swear the time flies by way too fast. It was fun to see all of the family. We had a good trip up and look forward to our next trip up at the end of July. Congrats Antwan!

Letters from Pa

Allie loves getting letters in the mail...especially if it is something from Pa. My dad loves to send her mail...we never know what we are going to get but Allie is always excited to open it. She thinks that all letters have a candy "neck-a-lace" inside them and are from Pa. She usually pretends she is reading the letter or card, it is fun to watch her. This time we caught her on tape. Thanks for the mail Pa!
