Pooter Coots

Paige is 4 1/2 months already! It does not seem possible that it is really the end of September. Paige Kaitlyn is still a really good baby girl. She is so sweet and loves to snuggle and get kisses. Allie is really gentle with her and Paige loves to watch Allie. Paige still only has her two bottom teeth but she loves to have her gums rubbed so I am sure another tooth is going to be popping through anytime. She coos and smiles all the time and has just started rolling over. She has been rolling back and forth and scooting around for sometime but now she finally figured out to get herself over! When she did it the first couple of times we cheered and made a huge deal about it and she was like what is the big deal? Now when she rolls over she looks at us like where is my cheering squad? and is very proud of herself. I love watching her bat her little eyes when you get close to kiss her. She loves to get kisses and huggers (hugs). She loves playing peek-a-boo and laughs when Allie plays with her. Our little princess is a keeper and I don't want her to grow up any faster.

Our Sweet Girls

The girls love each other very much. Allie loves to talk to Pooter Coots (one of our nicknames for Paige) and "watch" her for me. Every morning when we wake up Allie says "Mom I will watch Paigee while you go potty" so she lays on the bed and talks to her. It is really cute. It is funny to listen to the stuff Allie says to Paige she is always so sweet and gentle with her. I hope it stays this way! I will pull out the blog and remind them when they are teens!! Here are a few shots of the girls together!

Circus in town

Allie always talks about going to the circus but we have never gone. She has only seen the circus on the Wonder Pets but knows all about it. I heard the circus was in town so I looked at tickets online on Friday and they seemed expensive for the circus...$100 per ticket...yeah Geoff will not go for that! So I told him about the great deal and he was like...yeah.... not happening! At 9:45 on a Saturday morning, we didn't have any plans so I said Geoff there is a 11:30 show... should we take our chances and see if we can go to the box office and get tickets. So we packed up and off we went. We got there right at 11:30 and they had just released really good seats since they had not sold out. So we enjoyed the circus from the "50 yard line" 8 rows up from the floor for $25 per ticket and $10 for Allie. It was AWESOME!! I remember going to the circus as a kid and thinking it was cool, but never remember it being this cool! We had a lot of fun with the constant action. Sometimes I was not sure where to look there was so much going on! Paige even liked the show. She was tired and was getting ready to fall asleep right when the motorcycles were starting to ride in the cage...I thought oh great...perfect timing but she slept through the whole thing! We had a great time at the circus and might make it a tradition when it comes to town!! We didn't take pictures at the show but Allie and Geoff were acrobats when we got home. Paige just enjoyed watching them!

Paigee Girl

Paige is growing way too fast. I know they always say time flies but it really does. She is not an infant anymore. She loves reading books and talking up a storm. She now has this new little screech that she loves to make. She figured it out the other day, and now it is part of her vocabulary. She sits up pretty well (with help) so I thought I would try her in the Bumbo. She thought it was pretty cool. Geoff and Allie thought it would be fun for her to try out Allie's chair too. Paige loves to stand and be upright, so we thought it was a good time to get out the exersaucer. She was not too sure about it the first time, but we have put her in it a few times and she likes it. It is still hard for her to control her little body so I just put her in for a few minutes. She gets really excited and wiggles her whole body. These little girls sure keep us on our toes. Life would be a bit boring (and quiet) without our sweet girls.

Labor Day at Lake Solano

Geoff and Allie love to take out the "boat" (raft) but with all the crazy traveling we have done this summer we haven't had much time to go. Since it was a long weekend Geoff thought it would be a good day to take out the boat and bring the fam along. It was going to be a hot one on Monday, so we headed out bright and early and met the Shimabukuros and Grandma Ganne at Lake Solano. We had a breakfast picnic and then Geoff, Kainoa and Allie were on the water. They loved it...despite the rocky start when Allie's hat flew off and was in the water. Geoff was a trooper and finally got the hat in the boat but Allie was freaking out and that didn't help the situation. She can be a bit of a drama queen at times. After the soggy hat was back in the boat they were off and had a great time. Uncle Timi rented a canoe and paddled around for a bit and then Kainoa got in his boat. Grandma went for a ride on the raft and I got to go for a little ride too! Paige and I usually have to watch from the dock, but since Grandma was there I nursed her and off we went. Kainoa and Allie were great sports and enjoyed being out on the water. I wanted to try rowing...oh dear...I am glad Geoff was with us, so then the kids wanted to row and that was funny to watch. Lets just say without Geoff rowing we wouldn't see much of the scenery. Geoff worked hard to get all of us around the lake. We had fun and were home before it was too hot!

Our Little Preschooler

I can't believe this is really a post about our little preschooler!! Allie had her first day of 3 year old preschool today at Great Day Presbyterian Preschool, and she sure did have a GREAT day!

We have been reading The Kissing Hand and D.W.'s Guide to Preschool to prepare Allie for the first day of school. She has been so excited to go to school but once in while will say "I don't want to go to school" so we thought we should read a few stories to get ready.

On the way to school Allie was in her car seat and she said "At school I won't be scared, sad, or afraid" I said "Oh that is good Allie, you are so brave" and she said "just maybe a little nervous". She is too funny. She didn't seem too nervous once we arrived. She went in and started playing with play playdoh.

Geoff, Paige and I stayed about 5 minutes and Allie didn't even bat an eye. Mrs. Qualls gave her her name tag and we were on our way! Paige and I weren't quite sure what to do to fill the time until we had to pick Als up from school at 11:30. So we went to the store and bought her a balloon and some flowers for being so brave, and to celebrate her first day of school!!

When we picked her up she said she had a great time and did lots of things. She said she played with playdoh, played dress-up, had to "gather around the teacher" to listen to a story, and made lots of projects. I asked what her job was and she said her job was to clean up a truck after recess. Allison had lots of fun and talked the whole way home! I asked her if she missed us while she was at school and she said "Yes, I missed you but I knew you would come to pick me up". Oh the great days we will have.

**I am so glad Allie does not take after me in the going back to school department. I think I cried for the whole month of August before school started EVERY year until I was in middle school....yes, you read it right.....middle school!
