Big Girl Bed

Paige has been asking for Geoff to make her crib into a "real" bed but we have not wanted to take the crib down. That means are girl is growing up, and we want her to stay a baby forever! But she started climbing out of the crib so we decided it was time!

Catching Up

Now that school has started and life is just crazy busy in general, it seems like I have been slacking in the blogging department. I downloaded some pics so will walk you through a fews of our days in the last week or so....

Paige loves Sully from Monsters Inc. and just had to have a Sully costume, so here she is..."Girls can be Sully too right mom?" Of course...she is the cutest darn Sully I have ever seen ;o)

Allison had her first softball game last weekend. She has played Cal Ripken Baseball for the last two seasons, but is now on a U-6 Softball team...Go Smurfettes!

Paigee girl all dressed up and ready to go to Bailey's wedding
Allie is a trooper. She played a softball game, went to a birthday party and got all dolled up for the wedding....
As we were walking out of the church, Anne was trying to get in the car with her dress so we helped her get in, and snapped this picture of the happy couple! The girls were in awe (being so close to a real bride) and Pagie said "You did a great job being a bride" priceless! Cheers to Anne & Tom Bailey!!

Watch for more posts soon! Paige moved into a big girl bed...so that deserves a separate post!

Paige's First Day of Preschool

We are so excited to be back in the routine of preschool at Great Day! It is such a wonderful place, with the best teachers in the world!! Paige has been super excited to go to school and see all of her friends and teachers. When we went to preview day, we met a "new Paige" and both of them were super excited to have another Paige in the class. On the first day Paige said "Oh mom if Paige cries I will help her"...I said what if "Paige H. cries?" She said "Oh mom, don't worry, I will not cry." She walked in like she owned the place, and got right to work "making coffee" for Mrs. B at the cornmeal table. She had a great first day and was excited to go back on Thursday! We love, love, love her preschool and look forward to many adventures and stories at Great Day!

The table was set and ready for her first day of school

Blessed

Today a friend posted on Facebook that she was not happy about doing laundry, and chores around the house, but that it did make her happy that her kiddos have a nice comfortable place to call home, and clothes to wear everyday. It stopped me dead in my tracks and made me think about how blessed we really are. With our girls, our marriage, our family, our friends, our jobs, the schools the girls are able to attend,  and just life in general.  This is a crazy time of year, and in all of the hustle and bustle of life,  I forget to realize our littles won't stay little for long. There won't always be lunches to make, homework to do, activities to run to, and forts built in our messy living room. Sometimes we just need to slow down! Especially when I look at this picture and think how is it possible that our first little duckling is really in 1st grade, and in school all day long...and that our little infant in the carrier, is really starting preschool (look for that post later)....this was September 2010.....When life gets crazy, busy, stressful.... take a huge deep breath and remember time really goes by quickly.... and we really need to just enjoy it.

Here are the girls having a neighborhood dance party on the driveway....yes Hulbert girls were in their nightgowns "Fee and Will won't care mom"
Paige and I enjoying a nice afternoon in Davis for a little lunch date
Allison on Free Dress Day....that is a big deal when you have to wear a uniform everyday
And an afternoon with family and cousins at High Hand Nursery this weekend
