First Camping Trip

Allison and Paige have been super excited for our first camping trip and they had a great time. We were not sure what we were in for when we arrived in Bodega Bay and it was raining. Growing up in Oregon,  I have camped in the rain and it is not my favorite thing to do! It didn't rain for too long, but long enough for the kids to get soaked. They didn't seem to mind.

The Brazelton Family, Shimabukuro Family, and our family all tent camped and the grandparents (Uncle Jerry & Aunt Fay and Grandma and Paka) "camped" in a motel up the road.    We were not sure how cool the tent would be at night when it was time to go to bed, but the first night was fine....the second night, not so much. Paige got a cold, from being wet and cold the day before and was not a happy camper at midnight in the tent. So we rocked in the car until she fell asleep and then she was fine.  We had a good time and are glad we went. Not sure if we will make this a weekend affair, but maybe a yearly thing!! The girls loved it and had a great time with the cousins.

Don't think we could fit anything else....

Aww...nothing like being welcomed by rain....

Playdate with Elena

Last week, Allie was super excited for her playdate with Elena, a "school" friend.  Allison was excited for it all week, anticipating the playdate, and on the actual day, wanted to wear a special dress. She could hardly contain herself once Elena finally arrived.  The girls played outside, jumped on the trampoline, played princesses, did a little performance for us--and Allie even told me that there was "no flash photography aloud at the performance". Elena and her mom brought special individual Papa Murphy's pizzas for the girls to make. They did a great job including Paige and she had a blast with the "big girls". They had a great time, and we can't wait until our next playdate.
