Water Dogs

With all of the hot weather and California sunshine we have been having, the girls have been little water dogs. They love swimming and get better each day. While Grandma and Paka are in China, cousin Walt is house sitting, so he gets to watch the girls swim. The solar is on, so I have even swam a few days! Allie is picking up where she left off last season and Paige has no fear! She swims all around and loves it. We will have many more swim nights at the Hulbert pool!!

Jammin'

Paige is like her dad and Pa and loves to play the drums. She was having a little jam session the other day while Allie was at school.

Zoo Trip

We have not make the trek to the Zoo for a while, and it was a beautiful day on Tuesday so our neighbor Fiona and her son Will joined us for a fun morning at the Zoo. The girls love Will and Paige calls him "Rock-en-bone". We are not sure why, but it is so cute when she says it. Fiona jokes that he needs to keep that nickname in high school.

The animals were out and about and we even got to see a snake having an ultrasound and endoscopy at the on-site hospital. It was pretty cool.

We rode the carosel and then headed to Panera for a little lunch.

We had a great day and are so glad Mr. Sun is here to stay so we can be out and about!!

Last Weekend Recap

Paige got a new apron, since she does not have her very own and wanted to cook with me. Once we were done she headed to the play kitchen and cooked up a storm.

We had another T-Ball game and Allie had her very own cheering section. She is a lucky girl. Her cheering squad included us, Paige, Grandma & Paka, Cousin Walt, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Fay, Cousin Liz, Ruby & Nora. Allie loved having all of the love and waved to us in the stands every time she was up to bat!!

After T-Ball Allie transformed into Cinderella because she had a Princess Party to attend. It was her classmate Kate's princess party and the girls had a blast. It was nice to see all the little ones dressed up! Paige slept through the party, so she did not get to go, but slept for like 3 and a half hours!!

Easter Dinner

This year we were in Oregon for Easter. We have not been home for Easter since Allie was born. With the different spring breaks, it does not always work out that we can make it home. It was great to be there for the Easter Egg Hunt with some of the "little" cousins. It was fun to see all of the little ones run around and gather eggs. There were tons of eggs so everyone got lots of goodies! The weather was perfect and we all loved being outside for the egg hunt. It is not always sunny in Oregon on Easter, so this was a special treat! The kids played and even took of their dresses to have an "underwear" party in the front yard because it was soooo hot...they thought this was the coolest thing ever! We had a great Easter celebration and I am amazed that Aunt Carol felt up to hosting since she was only 7 weeks post open heart surgery. But she is a trooper and wouldn't have it any other way!!

All the girl cousins--Allie, Pagie, Raelyn, Keslin & Bronwyn

We told the girls to say "chicken" and Paige started acting like a chicken

All of the spectators....waiting for the hunt to start....

Cousin Alex helping Paige...but of course she wanted to "do it mine self"

Cousin Paul (G-Pa) helping Raelyn hunt eggs

Als and Bronzie hunting...

PK on a mission

See Grandma...I found another one...

The girls loved holding baby Emmet Stoddard

Easter Morning

We were not sure if the Easter Bunny would find us in Scappoose, but he did and the girls loved seeing all of the goodies he left for them. He even hid eggs all around the house. Happy Easter Morning!!

All of the daffodils were in bloom at my Grandma and Pa's so the girls loved looking at them. They headed out front to "practice" hunting eggs before going up to Aunt Carol and Uncle Wayne's for the big Egg Hunt and Easter dinner. The weather was perfect and the girls loved being out in the sunshine!!
