The Wiggles

Last night was a great night. We went to see The Wiggles live. We had great seats (thanks to Grandma and Paka) and it was a fun show. Since we have seen a few episodes of the Wiggles :o) it was fun because we all knew all of the songs. Allie liked singing and dancing but didn't like when Sam came close to us. It was an awesome show and we wrapped up a fun evening with a trip to Big Spoon.

Queen of the Playhouse

Allie got lots of great gifts for her birthday and she is really enjoying them. We got her a playhouse that she absolutely loves. I think she was in it all day for the first few days. This past week it has been too stinking hot to be out in the heat of the day but she goes out in the morning. She has quite the imagination and it is fun to listen to her play. She also loves playing with her critter house and has all kinds of stories when she plays. I love it! Our neighbors' granddaughter is in first grade and loves to come and visit. Allie keeps asking if she can have a "play date" with Angelina. They always have a good time.

Our Little Swimmer

What a difference a year makes (check out the pic below). Last year we took the mommy/daddy and me swimming classes and Allie loved them. She is very comfortable in the water and loves to swim so we thought we would enroll her in a private lesson this year. I was not so sure about handing her over to a teacher on the first day but she did great. We talked about it a few days prior to her lesson and she was excited to meet her teacher. When Allie met Maddie she said "Hi Maddie, mine Allison". Then I handed her over and they were a great team. Allie did awesome with her first week of lessons so I signed her up for the next session. On our way to swimming lessons she says "Mine exciting to see Maddie" and is very excited "exciting" to see her! It is fun to see all of her new skills...she is getting so big and is very proud of herself! Our little tadpole is now a turtle.

Visit with the Oregon Fam

We had a great week with my family from Oregon. My parents (Grandma and Pa), Grandparents and Aunt Carol all made the trip to Woodland for Allie's second birthday. They got to stay for a week so it was a nice visit with all of them. We got to show them some of our favorite places close to home. We took them fishing in Colusa...the only fish we caught were with Allie's Dora pole, but it was a little adventure for all of us. We always tell them about our bike rides to UC Davis where we see all of the animals so we took them to the horse barns and duck pond at UC Davis. My grandma loves horses so it was fun to take her there to see them up close. Our last evening together we went to the Davis Farmers Market for Picnic in the Park. We had a great visit with all of the Oregon fam.

Our Baby Allie is 2

I can't believe it has been 2 years since Allie was born. It seems like we waited forever to have her and now she is already 2. I don't know where the time goes. It is so fun to watch her grow and learn new things everyday. She is a very independent little one and a sweetheart. She wants to do everything "mine self" these days. We had a great party with family and friends and the kiddos had a great time playing in the pools, sandbox, water table and blowing bubbles. It was a fun day. We are very blessed to have such a healthy, happy and smart baby girl. She is a keeper! Happy Birthday Als!
