Party Time

Last Saturday was a party day! We started the day with Mr. Ben Broward's party. It was fun to see all of the kinder friends together out of the classroom! They are a little on the wild side when they have room to roam on the ranch! The kids went on a scavenger hunt, fished for candy, and played lots of outside games. It was a great party and we were glad to be part of Ben's 6th Birthday celebration. We are blessed with great friends.

After Ben's party, we headed home for naps to re-group and get ready for cousin Todd and Aunt Jennifer's birthday celebration. The little kids and Ry helped decorate the cake and then put on the candles. It is hard to believe Todd is really 14...I still remember getting the call when he was born! And lets just say we might have needed a fire extinguisher for all of the candles for Aunt Jennifer ;o) if the littles didn't help blow out all those candles. It was fun to celebrate with the fam! Cheers to many more Happy Birthdays!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is always a special day for the girls. Allison and Paige have been making Valentine's for a month or so, and Allison was very excited for her Valentine's party at school. Allison made all of her Valentine's from a kit and it was fun. Paige also made some Valentine's for friends and cousins. Here are Allison's creations.

I was able to work in Allison's class for her party and it was lots of fun. Thank goodness that Grandma and Paka are always available to watch Paigee girl while I work in Allison's classroom. The party was a hit and the kiddos loved passing out Valentine's and getting Valentine's from each other.

When we got home we went over to hand deliver Rockin-bone and Luke's Valentine and Fiona had a yummy class of sparkling wine for the mamas!

When Geoff got home Allison showed him all of her school Valentine's and Paige walked around with her Valentine from Pa and Grandma that she got in the mail. We had a yummy spaghetti dinner and called it a night! It was a fun day and we look forward to many more Valentine's parties!!

Another San Francisco Trip

The last time we went to San Francisco was such an awesome day, we thought we would try again on our long weekend. On Monday, all of us had a holiday so we decided to stay over night in the city on Sunday and meet up with the Eathorne Family on Monday.

I found a hotel in Union Square on hotels.com so it was  a better price than if we just called the hotel directly. It was an awesome location and good place to stay, but we were not sure when we arrived at 8:00pm and it was already dark. There is a lot going on in the city at night as well as day! I have never been downtown SF at night and it is crazy! Lots to look at for sure! We got settled in our hotel and of course had to check out the scenery. The girls think staying at a hotel is pretty high class...Allie and Paige wanted to stay "forever".

Jumping on the bed is really ok?...in a hotel...sure why not!

Monday the weather was perfect and we had a fun filled day with Burke, Jenn, Carter & Molly.  Before we met up with the Eathorne Fam, we had breakfast at diner down the street from our hotel and then did a little shopping at the mall. Then headed over to Golden Gate Park.

The kids had a blast at the Children's Park and could have stayed there for hours. There is a huge cement slide that the kids rode over and over, even the "little sisters". There are different playgrounds and play structures, a carousel (but it was closed), a beach area, tons to do, it was awesome. If you are ever in Golden Gate Park with kiddos check it out for sure!!

They were having such a great time at the "beach" in the park we decided to head over to Ocean Beach and let them have a day! We ate lunch at a fun restaurant overlooking the beach and then it was a total beach day!

Lunch at The Beach Chalet

The kids were soaked so Miss Jenn called it a day!! Had to post this pic....love it!!

It was so nice we didn't want it to end, so after our trip to the beach we ended our day at Pier 39. The kids watched the Sea Lions, rode on the double decker carousel, watched a pirate show, and ate their share of cotton candy!  It was an awesome trip and we can't wait for our next adventure in SF!!
