Happy Birthday Pa

When my Mom asked Dad what he would like for his birthday, he said he wanted to "go to Cali to see his girls". So they came down for a long weekend. They got to see the Jungle Book Kids play twice, were here to celebrate Easter morning, and we had a great time hanging out. We can't wait until our next visit. Here is our visit in pics.

Grandma and Pa got to take P to preschool and pick her up! It was cross decoration day, so that was fun....

Tea parties are always a must.....
Brr.....but always fun....

Ready.....set.....cannonball.....
Paige loves to fix Grandma Ganne's hair so she roped Grandma Rhonda in too....

Jungle Book Week 3

Being a part of the Jungle Book Kids production was such an amazing experience for Allison and our whole family. She gained a new "cast family" and loved every minute of it! She thought she would be super sad (and might cry at the end of the last show) but she was so excited and happy with the great experience that she was ok with it all ending. She will be auditioning for the next show she is eligible for, so that helps. It also helps that she is still taking a music theater class through the WOH so she still sees some of the kids in the cast. We went to every show, and it never got old. Paige could recited most of the lines and always knew what was happening next! Every show was exciting and we can't wait for the next one.

Grandma and Pa flew in from Portland to see the show and celebrate Pa's birthday. It was a great present for him to watch his girl on stage for his birthday weekend. Grandma loved seeing her girl on stage too!

Paka is home from China so he got to see the show for the first time, and Grandma Ganne was feeling better during her 3rd show. She is a trooper!
Our friend and neighbor Sofia, finally got to see the show and loved it!

Grandma Ganne got the girls special "bee" gifts after each show. She also bought Allison the Jungle Book story so she could have is signed by the cast. It was a hit!

The whole gang after the last show! Aunt Jen, Uncle Timi and Kainoa, Grandma, Paka, Grandma and Pa! We had a great time celebrating our girl and her great run, and Pa's birthday!

Jungle Book Week 2

This week Allison had 5 shows! She had 2 on Thursday for the local school groups. Then one on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday! We are all rehearsing Jungle Book lines in our sleep but it such a great experience for Allison and we love watching her on stage. We were excited for all of our family and friends who came to see the show this weekend. On Friday we had to pick up a few more tickets so the girls had fun taking pictures at the Opera House.

Grandma Ganne finally got to see the show! She took a hard fall a few weeks ago and was not able to make it to opening night (but we know she was in there in spirit) and was super excited to see the show on Friday night and Saturday!
The Gantenbeins, and cousin JoAnn were all at the show. Cousin JoAnn watched in Friday and Saturday...and think she might have come Sunday if she had a ticket :o)
The whole gang....Grandpa Ron flew in from Oregon
Grandpa Ron and Terry getting autographs from the girls
Our friend from work and her son came to the show on Sunday
Aunt Nic and cousins Todd and Ryan
Allie's buddy Angelina was excited to see the show

We are very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to show love and support to our girls

Jog-A-Thon

Allison gets super excited for the Jog-A-Thon. There are lots of festivities leading up to this day, and it is a lot of fun to be a part of. They start the day with songs and prayer out at the high school. Then they get into class groups and run their little hearts out. Running is not easy for Allison, but she never gives up and did a great job. She ran 10 laps!! She was a bit disappointed that she did not get 12 like last year, but we were super proud of her. Geoff and Paige ran a few laps with her and it was fun to see all the little faces running as I marked laps on their sticks. All of the kids loved getting squirted by the middle schoolers as they ran by. We ended the jog with an all school bbq. It was lots of fun!
