Allison Grace loves her handsome prince (daddy). When she dresses up like a princess she finds Geoff and says "May I have this dance handsome prince?" The girls have the best dad in the world!! Allie loves to run out to the truck and meet Geoff when he gets home from work. There is always something fun going on when Geoff is around. If it is just being silly at home, swimming, dancing, riding bikes, going to the park, rafting on the lake, or reading bedtime stories....life is always fun with dad. I can't wait for Paige to be in the mix...right now she just has to watch. Last night she when Geoff was giving her kisses she would get this little smile and make a cooing noise...she knows its a good thing!! Geoff is truly one of a kind and we are very lucky girls. We love you lots Daddy!!!!
Geoff has been wanting to buy a raft and take Allie out on a lake for a very long time. He finally bought one a month or so ago, so that is what we did to celebrate Father's Day. Geoff, Allie and cousin Todd when out on the raft on Lake Solano and Paige and I hung out on the dock to watch them. I thought my cell phone would work better to call 911 if someone went overboard :o) We had a nice day and the weather was perfect. We celebrated with all of the Hulbert dads on Saturday and had a nice lunch at Chevy's on the river. Next, we will head to Oregon to celebrate with Pa!! We have lots of great dads to celebrate.
Paige is growing like a little weed. I am not sure how much she weighs but you can tell in the photos she is gaining weight. She is so much fun to have around. She is pretty much happy all of the time....it makes life pretty easy for us! Allie is a great big sister and kisses her and talks to her all of the time. It is hard to believe she is already a month old. We are very lucky and happy to have you in our family Paige Kaitlyn!!
We have been trying to meet Molly Eathorne and have a playdate with Carter for sometime now, and we finally pulled it together this weekend. It was a hot day out so a perfect day to play in the pool. The little babies (Molly and Paige) hung out and watched their crazy older siblings (Carter and Allie) play. They swam in the pool, played in the playhouse, played in the house and all around the house. Had lunch and ice cream....it was a perfect playdate. We wish we lived closer so we could get together more often. It was fun to catch up with Burke and Jenn and see the kids! I was terrible and didn't get pics of the little girls. Maybe Jenn got some. Lots of fun times ahead with the little ones.
I have had the pleasure of watching Taylor Orzalli grow from a freshman into a self-motivated and very driven young woman. It has been fun to teach her and learn about her family. She is an awesome student and a great person. A few years ago, her parents bought her a really fancy camera for Christmas and she has been taking pictures every since! She has offered to take pictures of Allie while she was building her portfolio and teaching herself about photography, but it never worked out where we could get together. Then when I was pregnant she offered to take some belly pictures...since that is not really my style I said how about when the baby is born? Of course, she wanted to. So when I had the baby she called and asked if I wanted her to come to our home or go to her studio. Studio? What do you mean? Yes, Taylor has her own business and studio. She has not even graduated from high school yet! She will walk next week and has a lot to be proud of. She came to our home since Paige was so new and we had fun. Here are some of my favorites of the many wonderful pictures she took a few weeks ago!
Where on earth does the time go? It seems like I was just sitting here blogging with a little one squirming around in my tummy, and now she is already here and is already three weeks old! We are settling in and doing well as a family of 4! Paige is still a great baby....and Allie still loves being a big sister. She loves to hold Paige and give her kisses. Below are some random pics of life in the Hulb house. Most days our house is a wreck and it would be nice to have a 24-hour house keeper or some of Mary Poppins' magic but at the end of the day I don't think the girls seem to mind! It is well worth it and we feel very lucky and blessed!
Allie has got to go on some fun outings with Grandma Ganne and Paka since Paige has arrived. She has been a trooper with the transition to a family of 4 but we are a little cooped up since I can't drive yet after the c-section. They have gone to the Zoo, Art Beast, Starbucks, all kinds of fun places. Paka and Grandma are always up for an adventure with Allie, and on this particular day they went to pick strawberries at a local berry farm here in Woodland. I wish I could have gone to see her, but I hear she had a blast!
Geoff and I were married in 2001 and were blessed with our first daughter, Allison Grace in July 2007, and our second daughter, Paige Kaitlyn in 2010. I am a part-time, independent study teacher and Geoff is an administrator at our school. We have a good balance of work and home. We created this blog to keep our family and friends in the loop and let them know what goes on around the Hulbert house. Thanks for reading!
