Allison Grace Turns 5

I know I say it every year, but I really can't believe our first born is 5 years old. I remember walking through the streets of Old Sac wishing her here on my actual due date, but she decided to come a few days late (6 to be exact) and it seems like yesterday, hard to believe it was 5 years ago. I can't even imagine life without Als. She is a sweetheart, smart, funny, creative, loves to pretend, create things and dress up.  She is also a great big sister and wonderful role model for Paigee girl. I could go on and on..she is pretty awesome!! So today we celebrated her all day long!! It was extra special because we loved having dad home to celebrate on her "real" birthday!!  We started the morning with the Your Special Day red plate. Allie ordered pancakes with whipped cream, and we sang Happy Birthday bright and early.

It is a yearly tradition to buy fireworks on Allie's actual birthday, so we went and bought a few fireworks. After buying fireworks, and getting a Slurpee at 7-11 we headed over to Grandma and Paka's for a little swim and pizza lunch. Of course, Grandma Ganne made a special cake and we sang happy birthday again. Paige even got to blow out the candles. Allie got to open a few more gifts from Grandma and Paka and then we headed home for naps.

After nap, the girls played and then it was time for birthday dinner at Red Robin. That was Allie's choice, so she could get a balloon and they "sing happy birthday there".... all the little things that make her feel so special!!

When we got home, Angelina (our neighbor) was out front with her grandparents, so we decided to do a few fireworks early to celebrate. We just did a few and then the girls (and Geoff) had water balloon fights until dark. It was a great day and our little 5 year old loved every minute of her birthday!!

Happy, Happy Birthday Allison Grace Hulbert!! We love, love, love you!!!!
