The last time we went to San Francisco was such an awesome day, we thought we would try again on our long weekend. On Monday, all of us had a holiday so we decided to stay over night in the city on Sunday and meet up with the Eathorne Family on Monday.
I found a hotel in Union Square on hotels.com so it was a better price than if we just called the hotel directly. It was an awesome location and good place to stay, but we were not sure when we arrived at 8:00pm and it was already dark. There is a lot going on in the city at night as well as day! I have never been downtown SF at night and it is crazy! Lots to look at for sure! We got settled in our hotel and of course had to check out the scenery. The girls think staying at a hotel is pretty high class...Allie and Paige wanted to stay "forever".
Jumping on the bed is really ok?...in a hotel...sure why not!
Monday the weather was perfect and we had a fun filled day with Burke, Jenn, Carter & Molly. Before we met up with the Eathorne Fam, we had breakfast at diner down the street from our hotel and then did a little shopping at the mall. Then headed over to Golden Gate Park.
The kids had a blast at the Children's Park and could have stayed there for hours. There is a huge cement slide that the kids rode over and over, even the "little sisters". There are different playgrounds and play structures, a carousel (but it was closed), a beach area, tons to do, it was awesome. If you are ever in Golden Gate Park with kiddos check it out for sure!!
They were having such a great time at the "beach" in the park we decided to head over to Ocean Beach and let them have a day! We ate lunch at a fun restaurant overlooking the beach and then it was a total beach day!
Lunch at The Beach Chalet
The kids were soaked so Miss Jenn called it a day!! Had to post this pic....love it!!
It was so nice we didn't want it to end, so after our trip to the beach we ended our day at Pier 39. The kids watched the Sea Lions, rode on the double decker carousel, watched a pirate show, and ate their share of cotton candy! It was an awesome trip and we can't wait for our next adventure in SF!!
