When we walked in the gates of Disneyland, on our first day, Snow White was there to greet us! The girls were in awe. It was pretty cool.
Meeting up with Grandma, Paka and the Shimabukuro family.
There has been lots of talk about the first ride we would go on, and it was Dumbo! We all had a great time flying through the air...Dumbo is a must no matter how old you are
This was a night ride on the teacups. This might have been my last "spin" on the teacups, I was dizzy and it is not as cool as an adult. But of course Geoff and the kiddos loved spinning "super fast" so maybe I need to ride with someone more my speed ;o)
Wondering through Frontierland...we got to see Chip and Dale, meet a horse and watch the little goats run through the streets
We even got to give roping a whirl. Paka and the girls were pretty good
Another day when we ware heading into the park, Minnie was waiting for us. All of the kids loved seeing Minnie. It is so crazy to see the "real" characters up close and personal
Some of the gang loving life in Disneyland
One of our nightly routines was to ride on Splash Mountain as many times and we could fit in! Splash was Allison's favorite and she loved getting soaked. The last night she figured out (and finally listened to her mom) that it is a much more pleasant ride, if you sit in the back and just get splashed a little, and not soaked!! Since Paige was too short to ride, someone would go on Pooh's Honeypot ride with her (she must have rode it 20 times). There was never a line and she could ride it over and over. This was once of the nights we were waiting for Geoff and Als to get done with Splash for the 3rd time that night!
Paige does not usually like fireworks but she thought they were pretty awesome and magical in Disneyland. She even gave them 2 thumbs up! We were down on Main St. and I asked one of the workers if we were in a good spot to see the fireworks. He said "not really you want to make sure to see the top of the Matterhorn and the castle". So a few minutes later he found us, and walked us to a "secret spot" and we got a front row seat of the firework show. Seeing Tinkerbell and Dumbo fly was pretty awesome. Disneyland is truly the happiest place on earth!
We thought it would be fun for the girls to remember their trip with a princess name sign
We had an awesome time and can't wait until our next trip down south. Watch for a few more posts...the next will be of California Adventure and then The Princess Breakfast and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience!
