Wildlife Safari

Last weekend we drove up to Oregon to visit with family, and to be there for a our friend Brian to get inducted into the Willamette University Hall of Fame. We decided at the last minute we were going to go, so we had to drive instead of paying $1,200 for airfare, for a weekend! The girls were troopers, and we got to stop at the Wildlife Safari on the way up north. I remember going as a little girl ,and remember the animals walking right up to our car! You never know if things are still going to be "as cool" as it was when you were a kid, so I was little hesitant to suggest it. But the girls were all excited for a "drive through zoo" and Geoff was on board as well. We thought what the heck, lets go for it,  and it was a win, win. There is a part of the park that you walk through and look at animals, so that was a nice break from driving. Then we hopped in the car and got to drive through the "safari" and see the animals up close and personal!  We had lots of fun and the girls got to get unbuckled and look out the windows. It is crazy to think we were really so close to these animals. Our favorite was the bear blowing bubbles in the water! If you are ever driving through Winston, Oregon it is well worth the stop!
