A while back my friend posted the quote on her Facebook page and it is so very, very true. So when we got invited to a wedding in San Diego, we thought what the heck, we should go for it and make lots of fun memories.
Our friends, the Golds live in Carlsbad, and Cassie works for Legoland, so we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to see them, hang out at Legoland, and go to the wedding. We drove down and the girls were troopers. We spent all day at Legoland and it was awesome!! The last time we were there Allie was a baby and didn't really "know" about Legos. Now the girls are totally into Legos, and amusement park rides so it was a lot of fun! Cassie works in the park and her office is right above one of the roller coasters so she came and met us for lunch. Then Ryan and the girls met us later in the day. They showed us their favorite rides and it was an great day! We knew it was going to awesome because right as we were walking through the main gates the theme song from the Lego Movie started playing "...everything is awesome....everything is cool...." and it was indeed an awesome day!
Ryan and Cassie have a beautiful home and their backyard is like a resort. So the girls loved playing out back and swimming in the pool. Brooklyn even got out her surfboard so the girls could ride on it in the pool.
Carlsbad is amazing, and it is even cooler that this awesome beach is 5 minutes from Ryan and Cassie's home. The Gold girls showed the Hulbert girls the ropes, and we had a fun time at the beach. We can not wait to go back!
I didn't get any pictures of Brooklyn playing soccer, but it was a fun treat to watch her play. We would have watched Camryn too, but she just got out of a cast with a broken leg, so she was still healing. I guess we will just have to catch one of her games on our next trip! Paige was posing for a pic in Camryn's cool headband!
After a fun day at the beach and soccer games, we headed to Pacific Beach for Rosalind and Reed's wedding. It was an amazing venue and the girls loved the wedding. Allison told Geoff she would like to get married at that very spot. Ha! I think he might have to start saving his pennies right now!
We had a fantastic weekend and will be back again soon. We waited 5 years to visit the Golds and that was way too long! We made lots of memories and will plan our next trip to SD real soon!
