Oh Christmas Tree

We always used to get our tree at Pronzini, but for the last few years we got it at a different spot. So this year the girls were bugging to go back to the lot with the sled and candy canes, so we made our way back to Pronzini and found a beautiful tree. The girls were super excited, but we had to wait a few day for it to dry out before we decorated it. I swear the only time it rains in Cali is the weekend we decide to get our tree! It was well worth the wait and the girls are excited to have the tree in the house. Geoff might not agree that is was so exciting as he was using a hand saw in our living room to get the 10 foot tree back in the stand correctly....thank goodness for Geoff!

There is always magic when decorating the tree. My Grandma Rosie is always watching over us as we decorate with the Hallmark Ornaments she bought for us over the years. The girls love to open each box, and ooohhh and aahhhh over the beautiful ornaments. I wish she was here to see the girls, but it is fun to think of her frantically shopping for the perfect ornaments the day after Christmas. She would look at each one in the box and decide which grandchild each one was for. I wish we would have recorded her voice on one of them. We are so thankful to have beautiful ornaments and memories of Grandma Rosie. Gramps still carries out the tradition and goes out the day after Christmas, and gets the ornaments for all of the grandkids and great grandkids! He is trooper and knows Grandma Rosie wouldn't have it any other way :o) Grandma Ganne and Grandma Rhonda also buy ornaments for the girls and it is fun to see the new ones from the year before that the grams bought the girls. This year the favorite one is the Disneyland signing one and it is perfect, because it signs "When you wish upon a star" and that is one of Allison's songs she sings in the Pinocchio play. Putting up the tree is stressful and takes a long time but sure worth it as we decorate and reminisce about all of the ornaments and stories.
