We were planning on going to Portland at the end of July after Paige got her first round of shots, but we were anxious for her to meet the Oregon fam and especially for her to meet Great Grandma Rosie. So we packed up the Pilot and drove north....yes...you read it correctly.... drove! We don't love to drive since the flight is only 1 hour and 10 minutes gate to gate from Sacramento to Portland, but I didn't want Paige to fly without having her first round of vaccinations. On Tuesday after school was out, we drove to Medford (halfway) and stayed overnight and then headed to Scappoose the next day. The girls were awesome travelers and we survived the trip. It was a lot slower than it is when Geoff and I drive it alone, but totally worth it! Allie loved playing with her cousins, seeing all of our family, riding on the tractor (Pa's riding lawn mower), picking berries, making pie, and just hanging out! Paige loved meeting all of her new cousins and all of the Oregon fam. Aunt Charlotte from Phoenix was in town and got to meet her too! I didn't get pictures of everyone but I will next time :o) It was a great trip!
