I know this post is long over due! With back to school, my brother's wedding and all of the craziness in between, I have not "dumped" photos for a while, so we are back to the end of August for this post....
Every time we drive past the fairgrounds, Allie asks "how many more days until the fair?" It is a magical place to the girls...and us (you just have to use lots of sanitizer and not look to close at the rides or workers) and it is a lot of fun! Of course we went the first night to check out Allie's fair entry. This year she entered another cactus garden with the help of Grandma Ganne. Allie has quite the imagination and her cute little garden won a first place ribbon for the second year in a row! She was super excited, and it was extra cool, because her pre-school teacher Mrs. VanSant was looking at her exhibit when we discovered the first place ribbon. It is so awesome to see the excitement and pride Allie girl has with everything she does. Our sweet girl is an "old soul".
We didn't stay long, because it was the first night of school and we had to be at school early the next morning. We went back Thursday night and rode rides, rode the ponies, looked at animals and had a shaved ice! Since we were heading to Oregon for the wedding, Friday and Saturday (and would miss the fair) we told the girls we could possibly go back Sunday night when we got home from Portland. Of course they did not forget and we took a last trip to the fair. We took Angelia and the girls had a blast...more rides, ponies and even won a goldfish (who died the next day). All part of the fair experience!
Now we get to hear "how many days until the fair?" for the next year from both girls! Paige loved it too, and when we pass the fair ground on the way to take Allie to school she asks about the fair. We have a great time and look forward to many more "Yellow" County Fair nights!!
In support of their growing up.
