Christmas Eve traditions are fun here in Cali. The girls have been waiting patiently to open their first gifts on Christmas Eve so the afternoon before naps they got to open new Christmas jammies!!
This year things were changed up a bit and we went to Grandma and Paka's for lunch and to exchange gifts with cousins Ruby and Nora. We had a quick visit and then headed home for naps so the girls would be rested for the big evening.
We went to the Children's Pageant at St. Martin's in Davis. The girls always enjoy being part of the "cast" at Uncle Jerry's church. Allie was an angel and Paige was a sheep again. Both girls did a great job. It was fun to watch, and there was a little wrestling match going on between a sheep and the goose. It made things a little more exciting...oh boys!
After the nice service in Davis, we headed West on 80 to Dixon, to celebrate Christmas Eve at Uncle Scott and Aunt Nicole's. We had a nice dinner, opened gifts and had the annual ornament exchange.
We got home in time to leave a note for Bo and Holly. The girls are very sad to see them go, but know they have to hitch a ride back to the North Pole with Santa tonight. They also went out to sprinkle reindeer food on the lawn.
The girls are super excited for Santa and I think they will be happy campers in the morning!
