Happy New Year!

We had a low key day at Grandma and Paka's to ring in the new year! Grandma Ganne and Paka transformed their Christmas tree into a New Years tree and the kids thought it was super cool. It had balloons filled with money so they got to pop the balloons and keep the treasures! Only Grandma thinks of things like this!
We had a nice afternoon hanging out in Davis at the barns and the Arboretum with the Kolb Family. This was their first time to the barns at UCD so we loved showing them the ropes!
We even got invited by one of the workers to go back to the "off limits" area where they keep the very new baby calves. Some of them still had umbilical cords attached and were very wobbly on their new legs. It was lots of fun. It was fun but also was sad that the day old baby was in a little barn instead of with his mama :o(

It was a beautiful January day and the kids loved exploring at the Arboretum. It was a great way to kick off 2015!
