❤ Hulbert Family Traditions ❤

It is great to see the magic of Christmas come alive in the girls. All of the fun traditions that come along during this time of year are what makes it so special. I hope the girls look back on all of these things and know how much we love them, and how these traditions will continue on, and be things we look forward to always.

Bo the Elf on the Shelf- She reports to Santa every night on how the girls are doing. The highlight of the morning is finding Bo, somewhere new in the house. Allison is almost always up before Paige, so she finds Bo, and then "helps" Paige find her when she wakes up. Bo is very magical and the girls are convinced that she will lose her magic if they touch her, so she is always safe and has never been touched. We love Bo very much and love having her around during this time of year! In the background you see our Gingerbread house. Grandma Ganne & Paka always give the girls a gingerbread house and they enjoy decorating it and displaying it. Some years we do a few!

Chocolate Advent Calendar- This has always been a favorite for Allie, and now Paige totally gets it, and is all into the "chocolate game". Uncle Jerry and Aunt Fay give the girls their calendar each year at Thanksgiving and the girls look forward to it being the "First day of Christmas". Allie means the first day of December, so she can start the countdown and getting a little chocolate surprise every day!  They also have a magnetic "Count down to Christmas" calendar that is fun too!

Christmas Friends- My Grandma Rosie loved Christmas and would spend days decorating her house and tree for Christmas.  She had tons of decorations and ornaments and loved all of them. When she passed away we got some of her stuffed friends and the girls love having them around.

Christmas Lights- Geoff does a great job hanging the lights each year. Every year the lights have evolved but this year the girls had us put up a few extra lights to make things look more festive at the Hulbert Casa! Geoff even had us go to Michael's on Thanksgiving night to score a deal on the snowflake lights! He had a vision and they look awesome. Someday we might look like the Griswalds!

Stocking & Christmas books- Grandma Ganne's cousin Maxine made both of the stockings for the girls. They are absolutely beautiful and the picture does not do them justice! We love looking at the stocking hanging on the mantle and will treasure them forever. The girls also love to read and it is awesome to see how excited they get out the Christmas books each year!

❤ We look forward to all that this month has in store...there will be lots of posts ❤
