Old Fashion Fun

Yesterday, I was out planting some flowers and Geoff and the girls were playing out front too. They were all wet, dirty and gross but having the time of their lives. Geoff and Allie had a water balloon fight, and I am not sure who had more fun. I swear Geoff said "only a few more" as he kept filling up water balloons...he said this at least 5 different times! Paige loved holding her very own tiny balloon and watching her silly sister and dad. Then Allie thought it would be fun to play in the hose. We loved watching her and listening to her belly laugh as she squirted the hose up in the air or into her mouth. She was in heaven.






Geoff thought it would be fun to get out the sidewalk chalk, so there was a little chalk art in the mix of craziness. Paige likes to draw a little on the ground, then her feet, and then taste the chalk a bit.







By the end of the night, Paige looked like a auto repair worker, she was filthy and happy as a clam. Allie was soaking wet and her teeth were chattering. We went in and took early baths and had a relaxing evening. When we got back in the house Geoff said "sometimes we never know what we are getting into when we start out" and it is good for the soul. Sometimes unplanned random fun is the best!
