It seems like we have been partying for the last two weeks. With birthday parties, tap recitals and now 4th of July! We started our 4th morning in Rancho Murieta at the parade with the Eathorne Family. I don't think Allie has been to a "real" parade and she loved getting candy and watching all of the festivities. Carter and his cousin Mia were pros at getting the candy and were nice, and helped Allie get some. Paige and Molly shared cheese popcorn and clapped along with the parade. Paige also stayed occupied playing in a random bicycle trailer.
After the parade we headed to the lake for a picnic and carnival. Allie decided she wants to live a Burke and Jenn's (me too) and will sleep on Molly's floor. She loved it out there and even got to ride in the golf cart to the lake...what a life! It was a hot one (and Geoff was in JEANS), so we didn't stay too long at the carnival. We had lunch, ate sno-cones and the "big" kids went on the huge water slide. The weather didn't seem to faze the kiddos.
Paige was asleep in the car before we got out of the neighborhood, and Allie fell asleep shortly after. We came back to Woodland to regroup and have naps before heading to Grandma and Paka's. We had a nice dinner and swam at Grandma and Paka's then came back home to do a few fireworks. Allie was a little nervous but pretty excited. Paige was not a huge fan. Her little heart was beating and then she would clap when the fireworks were still going (I think she hoped they would stop if she clapped). Last year on the 4th she slept through the whole thing! We had a great day. Happy 4th of July.
In support of their growing up.
